them who i hate
them who i fear
them who i shall never be

for i cannot act as they

them who i see through my window
why do i fear those who look like me?
the supposed 'others'

but here where i stand
there are no others
only me
who they cannot be
who cannot act
who cannot think
those who speak with words of no meaning
yet admire their own voice

for i cannot be them
nor they be me
the ones i envy as free
